6 Months Old

Now that he is almost 7 months old, I suppose it's time to post his 6 month pictures. He's grown up so much since last month, I think. He did really good getting his three shots at the doctor this month. He cries for less than a minute. He got a flu shot and the next day he got a cold so I wonder if that had something to do with it. Because Chase is still hoarse a lot of the time, the doctor switched him from Zantac to Prevacid and i actaully thinks it's made a difference. He has to go back in a month for his booster and while he is there the doctor also wants to check his weight again. When we went to doctor for his cold when he was 5 months old, he weighed 15 lbs, so he only gained 3 ounces in a month. It kind of worries me because there are times that he doesn't nurse very long at all and sometimes he throws a fit when you feed him a bottle. I think he would let me know if he wasn't getting enough but I stil worry.

 

• Sits up all by himself and rarely falls over anymore
• Weighed 15 lbs. 3 oz. at his Dr. appt.
• 26 inches long
• He's gotten pretty good at doing an army crawl and can get anywhere he wants to be. He's found the tree and presents a couple times.
• It's pretty rare that he takes his late afternoon cat nap anymore. He thinks he's old enough to only take two naps a day now, and I guess he probably is.
• He loves fruit! I put bananas, strawberries and peaches in his mesh thing and he eats it right up.
• He also loves to stand and jump. Sometimes when you try to sit him up on the floor he won't bend his legs to sit because he would rather stand.
• He started doing this weird smile a week or so ago....the pictures above are proof of that.
• We've upgraded from his bumbo to a high chair and he actually likes being in there, he does really good when we feed and will even sit there while I'm cooking or cleaning in the kitchen.
• He's pretty good at church now and can sit through sacrament meeting as long as he has toys to play with or can bounce in your lap. He'll even sit in his carseat for the first 15 minutes. He's never been a baby that will just relax and fall asleep so it makes church a little hard because he doesn't nap well there.
• He laughs a lot!
• He growls all the time and cracks himelf up...it's pretty cute. Sometimes when we are driving somewhere I wonder if he is awake because it's so quiet back there and then I'll hear him growl and I know he's awake.
