7 Months!

I feel like I just updated this with his 6 month picutes yesterday, Time goes by way too fast. There isn't too much to report this minth besides our experience with formula. I took Chase to the doctor a few weeks ago because he would scream about 2  minutes after he started eating and it would take me ahile to get him calmed down and sometimes he would eat more and other times he wouldn't. It's no secret that he's had tummy problems his whole life but I just feel like there is still something bothering him. So the doctor switched him Zantac to Prevacid and uped the dosage. Some days I think it's working and other days I don't. The doctor also said that I could try formula as well if the medicine didn't seem to help so I got some samples from them and thought I would give it a shot. The forst bottle I made I just did it like normal and tried to feed it to him. I think it's safe to say that he hates it. He ate about an ounce or two the first time and then threw a gigantic fit and wouldn't even touch the bottle. So the next time I tried it with some breast milk in it but he still fought me. I then did it with mostly breastmilk and maybe a half ounce of formula and he ate the whole thing but it was still a struggle. Every time I've tried since then was a major production and he ended up with the victory becuase he would not take it. So......we had just a little over a week before we were leaving him with Corya nd Elleny so we thought we would stop feeding formula and make sure he would drink a bottle again. The first couple days were rough because he thought we were trying to give him formula again and he would usually fight it until we could get it in his mouth and he could taste that it wasn't formula. It took several days but he finally took a bottle like normal again. Man, what an ordeal!
  • He's so close to actually crawling on his knees, as opposed to doing the army crawl. He rocks back and forth on his knees and will take one or two crawls before going back to the army crawl.
  • There was a period where i couldn't leave the room without him freaking because he wanted me right there with him, but lately he's been a lot more independant and could care less if I was there or not. Most of the time!
  • Just two days ago he was playing on the floor in my room as I got dressed and went into our closet and tried to climb on Chris' shoe box and was up on his knees.
  • Loves eating finger foods like bread, bananas, clementines and little puffs. Hasn't mastered how to feed himself yet.
  • Sleeps through the night from 7-6:30, eats and then goes back to sleep until about 8.
  • Most days he still takes three naps with the third one being in the early evening, lasting about 30 minutes, but sometimes he protests and won't take the last one.
  • Weighs 16 lbs.
  • Still wears some of his 3 month clothes but he can only wear the shirts, the pants are too small, bt at the same time, his 6 month pants are too big.
  • Diaper changing is a nightmare these days, he just wants to roll over and crawl away. We exhaust all efforts to try to get him to stay put.
  • He had his first sleep over away from his mom and dad. It was probably more traumatic for Cory and Elleny than it was for him.
