Immediately after Chris and I were married, we started trying to have kids and I talked to my doctor about ways we could make that happen. Let's face it....Chris and I are no spring chickens, so we didn't want to waste any time. In August my doctor wanted to start tracking my ovulation just to make sure everything was working right and the first month, everything was great. In September, I went in for my blood test and the results came back a few days later saying I didn't ovulate. The doctor then decided to put me on clomid (a fertility drug) which would help force the process. With strict instructions to take the first dose three days after my period started, the waiting game began. Finally after days of waiting on October 4th, I decided to take a pregnancy test just in case.........and lo and behold....
I took the test when I got home from school one night and Chris was at a friends house becuase I was certain it would be negative. To my surprise, there were two lines!!!! Apparently the test from the doctor was wrong, I counted my days wrong or I was already pregnant at the time of the test. Regardless, Chris and I couldn't be more thrilled to have a baby.
