I can't believe it's been a month since I've updated my blog. It's been such a crazy month and I hardly have any pictures to show for it, but I'll show you what I have. My mom was here for Chase's blessing and stayed afterwards for two weeks until the family reunion, which we were so thankful for! The family reunion was at Cherry Hill which I was nervous about becuase we were camping, although my parents did rent a RV so it's not like we were really roughing it. Chase actually did very well the night we stayed and slept really well. We didn't stay the second night because we had a long day and were leaving for Missouri two days later so we needed to get things ready.
We were so excited to take Chase swimming at the reunion and he loked so cute inhis over size swim suit and his swim diaper that almost went to his chin, unfortunately he wasn't as excited. He didn't mind he outfit, but he hated the water!! He was in desperate need of a nap when we took him so I can't decide if it was becuase of that or if he really hates the water. I hope that's not the case!
A couple days later we left for Missouri and Chase got to ride on a plane for the first time. This pic is him just before we bored the plane. Overall, he did great on the plane ride. There was just a couple minutes on the way there that he was fussy but nothing too major. On the way home he was a litte more challenging. He slept for the first hour and a half then woke uo and had one of his fits. He cried for 20 minutes straight and then calmed down until we landed and was a perfect angel until we got home. Every one on the plane was very kind though, we were very thankful.
Here's just a few pics that were taken while we were gone.
This was the first time Chase rode in his stroller without his car seat, what a big boy!
Grandpa and Chase just hanging out. One of the few times he wasn't crying. :-)
Chase fell asleep in the snugli!
Chunky baby!
Sitting on the back deck with grandma where we spent many hours. (Chase loves to be outside and when all else fails, we are outside.)
Just before church and as happy as can be.
One of the best things about my parents living in Joplin is the fact that my best friend Lacie lives only and hour away in Rogers, Arkansas so I always get to see her when I visit my parents. Lacie. Dennis and Kenadee were going to come see us one night but the day before Kenadee got sick and had to go to the hospital so Chse and I went and visited them the next day instead. Thankfully, Kenadee was only in the hospital a few days and recovered quickly.
We took Chase and Kenadee for a ride in the wagon around the halls of the hospital. Chase didn't like to share the wagon apparently....but I love this pic of them together!
I didn't get very many pictures of Clara and Chase because Chase was such a Diva every time I tried, but here's what I did manage to get. I still have the cutest niece EVER! Can't wait for #2 to come!
Last but not least, here's me and Chase!
