Packin' up!

We put our house on the market at the beginning of June because we decided that we wanted a little more space and thought we would sell and buy a house while the market was still pretty good, and before the prices raised too much. I'm not sure we expected our house to sell in two weeks, but it did. I was thankful it sold fast but at that point we weren't exactly sure what we were going to do yet. We decided to build with Alpine Homes in Herriman. I am really excited!!( I'll give more details about that later.) We already had our trip to Missouri planned so we had to plan our move around that. We got back from MO on a Monday and had to move that following Saturday, which meant we had a lot of packing to do in a short time.

These are just pictures of the house being packed. It's kind of sad to move out of the house that we started our marriage in and had Chase in. We are moving on to better things, but it's still bitter sweet.

Here's what the front room looked like after everything was moved out. I really hope the new owner got new carpet because these carpets are NAST!

The last night we stayed in our house Chase was giving Chris the cutest smiles.

I love these two!!!

It's really sad to say goodbye to the house, but it won't be long until we are in our new house making new memories. Chris' dad and step mom were gracious enough to let us stay with them until our house is done, which we really appreciate!

The first couple nights after we moved we stayed at Chris' brothers house because his dad had company in town, so we moved on a Saturday and stayed at Neil's for three nights and moved into his dads house on Tuesday. Poor Chase slept in so many different rooms over the last couple months between going to MO and jumping from place to place, but he actually did really well. I was so proud at how well he adjusted to everything.

With that being said, there was one night when we moved in with his parent's that Chase woke
up in the middle of the night and would NOT let me put him down. So, I tried to bring him to our bed and let him sleep with us, but that didn't really work either. Finally, Chris took him to his bed and he cried for less than 15 seconds. I guess I should have done that an hour or two before. Oops!! I did get this cute pic though!

This will probably be the only time I'm able to get a pic of Chase in bed with us, he I'd definitely not a cuddler, nor will he sit still long enough to cuddle.

  1. That's so exciting for you guys! When do you hope to move into your new house? I will have to come and see it whenever I am out there!
