We're not homeless anymore!

Our house was done at the end of November so we were able to close on it November 25, just a few days before Thanksgiving. We didn't want to move in before Thanksgiving so it gave us a few days to get the internet set up and some furniture delivered that we bought for the house. We also were able to get Chase's room painted and had painters come in and paint other parts of the house. It worked out really good. I haven't taken many pictures of the house as it's been completed but here are a couple of the outside.

I'll get more now that we have it all furnished and put together for the most part.

 

Chase was so excited when we first got our keys and went to the house, he just ran all around into different rooms and had so much fun! He knew it was his house too, which was really cute. For the first little bit, everytime we would pull into the driveway he would say, "house".

 

 

  I wanted to paint the walls in Chase's room gray again becuase I really liked it in our townhome. I went with a little darker gray than we did last time and it made Chris a little nervous but it turned out great. We did horizontal stripes on one of the walls and I love it! It adds so much to the room. We've never done stripes before, so Heidi came up and helped us. We were all pleasantly surprised when the stripes were perfectly straight. It was a miracle!!

 

 

Chase loves popsicles so we used that to our advantage when we were unpacking so we could get some stuff put away without Chase in the way. You do what you got to do!

 

 

This was the first time we made cookies in our new oven. i've never had a gas stove or oven before so it was a whole new territory for me and they turned out great. I love that the window on the oven is so big and so does Chase, he just watches them until they are done. Notice the black things over the knobs.....well, the first day we were in our house Chase turned the knob to the stove on but it didn't ignite the flame so gas was just releasing in to the air. We had to get covers the next day! Rascal!
