We were leaving for Missouri on a Thursday and that week just so happened to be the week that I was starting full time at the bank again. We found a daycare for Chase and he started on Monday. I hoped and prayed that he wouldn't get sick before we left and figured we would be safe since he would only be going for three days before we left. Well, I was dead wrong!!! He got sick and had a fever so we took him to the doctor that day hoping that we would be able to get meds or something so the plane ride wouldn't be so miserable. But, it was still early so as of that point, he didn't have anything to treat yet.
Chase ended up having a double ear infection. He got meds but it took several days for the medicine to kick in. I felt bad because we were not able to enjoy the trip at all and in turn probably made it a downer for everyone else. By the time we left Chase was finally feeling better, so the trip home was a lot better.
It wouldn't be Christmas without having the annual gingerbread house making contest. Elleny and Chris were on my team this year and we had the best idea........Griswald Family Christmas!!! We didn't win but we should have!!
Although Chase was sick, we still managed to get him and Clara in the tub together. Chase adores Clara so he loved it!
While we were there, Chris was offered a new job and accepted it!! Good job Babe!! We all toasted to his new job!!
