Monday Morning, January 12th, 2015, I went to the hospital with a carseat in hand and left with out sweet Ava in it. Chris unfortunately had to go out of town for work so he wasn't there when we brought her home but it was a good day. Now it's about to get real.
These were the first pictures that were taken of the girls together after Ava was home. Neither one of them were too thrilled about the idea but it was so much fun to dress them the same in their really big outfits.
And of course Chase had to hold her, he is so in love with his sisters.
Holding both my babies for the first time at the same time.
We bought a twin pack n play that had two bassinets in it so each baby could be in there together. We thought it would be perfect for our room, and it did work for the most part but it was a little tricky because the girls had to sleep elevated at first because of reflux. We tried it in our room at first but no one was sleeping, I felt like the girls were up all night and Norah was the loudest sleeper. So, we moved it to the family room and took turns sleeping on the couch. We traded shifts and switched after every feeding so at least some people were getting solid sleep in between feedings. They ate every three hours so both Chris and I or my mom would get up and feed them and than I would pump afterwards. It took about an hour and then we had to be up in two more hours to do it all over again. The first couple months we had to wake them up to make sure they were getting enough calories and it was a long couple months, it was exhausting, but it went by really fast.
So glad to have Ava home.
